Novel Part 2

CHAPTER 1

After walking a few blocks away from school, I ditched my wig that I have been wearing every time to school and found a phone booth nearby. I went in and made sure nobody was following or waiting for me outside. I picked the receiver and dialed a number, a few minutes went by before a voice picked up. “Hello?” said an old raspy voice, must be due to different time zones, it's probably around 4 am where he is. “Uncle Ben? It's me, Aunt Petunia has blown off steam again;need a place to stay” I said in a coded message. “S**t, you alright boy?” inquired Uncle Ben (not his real name). “Need a place to stay, other than that I'm just peachy” I said. After a few seconds of a silence pause he finally said “come over then”. “I'll be there soon” I hung up before he could even reply and hailed the nearest taxi and headed for the airport, in a sense feeling relieved that I no longer have to put up with the people at school any longer.

Upon reaching the airport, I bought a plane ticket, cursed at the thought of the long flight there and went to the magazine store to look for some reading material. “Dumbledore is gonna beat Voldemort!” I heard a kid saying to his friend. “Na'ah I think Sirius will!” his friend argued. I picked a novel and was paying for it and a pack of reds when their personal debate started intensifying, in short started to get on my nerves. “Your both wrong, both of them die...read the books and you'll know” I said. The twinkle in their eyes faded as they heard my answer, like a small toddler finding out that Santa Clause did not exist. Their argument faded and they started to sob. I grinned and walk pass them and headed for the departure hall. I thought to myself well I'm a Tolkien fan anyway, Lord of the Rings beats a teen wizard with family issues any day. I headed towards the gents and went into a cubicle and put on a fake beard and contact lens that changed my eye color, made sure that they were on perfectly and headed for the ticket counter again with another passport at hand.

While waiting for my flight, I lighted one of my cigarettes and watch the TV (or telly if your from this parts). The news was on, my high school was highlighted in an evening special, the tag line was that this was done by a group of hoodlums whom had a personal vendetta with the school. I chuckled at the cover up story that they were running when suddenly the a flight attendant came towards me and told me that my flight was calling for final boarding. I headed for the gate and showed my boarding pass and headed in. I caught sight of two men in suits heading towards another gate, they were inquiring about a person and said that this person was a wanted person and showed the flight attendant. That's when I heard the flight attendant's announcement “Attention to all passengers of ***** Airways heading to Amsterdam our flight is delayed due to certain mechanical failure, we are sorry for the inconvenience and will be departing shortly after we have things under control”. After the announcement the two men headed into the boarding tunnel and into the plane.

“Sir? Is there something wrong?” asked the flight attendant at my gate. “Nothing, just thought I saw someone familiar” I said and headed in. I found my seat and looked through the window, I saw the two men in suits in the tunnel chute near the other plane, they looked confused and distraught. “Newbies” I chuckled to myself. I got comfortable in my seat and heard the pilot's announcement “Attention to all passengers of ***** Airlines we are about to depart for Hong Kong, please fasten your seat belt and remain at your seat.....” and he went on while the flight attendant showed the passengers on the safety precautions. Meanwhile, I was looking at my flight ticket, and knew that I had another transit flight to take to Singapore. “F**k, it's going to be a hell of a long journey, Asia here I come” I muttered to myself and began reading my novel. While on the runway I took a glance through the window again, I saw the two men in suits at the tarmac, looking lost and confused, I grinned and closed the window and continued reading my novel.
